Upendra Kushwaha (born February 6, 1960) is an Indian politician and human resources development minister in the Indian government. He is a member of Parliament De Karakat Loksabha, in the district of Rohtas, a caste of Kushwaha dominated the consecration in Bihar. He is a former member of Rajya Sabha and a party leader Rashtriya Lok Samata.
Personal life
Kushwaha was born in Vaishali, Bihar, to a Kushwaha Kshatriya Hindu family of the original middle class of Vaishali District. After completing the B.Sc. Patna University, Patna University, he was admitted to Babasaheb University Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar, Muzaffarpur for his MA in Political Science. He has worked as a professor in the Department of Political Science at Jandaha Middle School since 1985, currently known as Muneshwar Singh Muneshwari Samta College.
Political career
Kushwaha began his career as a politician in 1985. He was general secretary of Yuva Lok Dal (1985-1988), then national secretary general, Yuva Janata Dal, 1988-1993. He was also Secretary General of the Samata Party from 1994 to 2002. Kushwaha was a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly in 2000-2005 and was appointed deputy leader of the Samata Party in the Bihar Legislative Assembly.
In March 2004, after the election of Lok Sabha, Sushil was elected to Lok Sabha and the number of deputies of JD (U) increased in relation to the BJP. Since the leader of JD (U) has changed his party. So kushwaha became the leader of the opposition.
He founded Rashtriya Lok Samata Party [3] on March 3, 2013 and unveiled the name and flag of his party at a rally at the historic Gandhi Maidan. Kushwaha and Socialist leader Rambihari Singh are respectively National Founding President and National Secretary General of the Party. Apparently aiming for the support of the minority and backward caste (OBC) for the renewal of political career, the founding leader of the RLSP and the critic Nitish Kumar Chief Minister and RJD leader Lalu Prasad false promise or whatever.
The RLSP has provided a delivery in terms of concrete results under way for power and ensure the economic development of Bihar and the well-being of its inhabitants.
In February 2014, the Rashtriya Lok Samata party entered into an alliance with the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance. According to the alliance, the RLSP won three Bihar seats for the 2014 general elections, namely Sitamarhi, Karakat and Jahanabad.
