Personal Life & Political Career
Giriraj Singh (born September 8, 1952) is an Indian politician and current Minister of Indian Affairs. He is the deputy of the parliamentary district of Nawada in the 16th Lok Sabha, and has previously served as Minister of Cooperatives, Livestock and Fisheries Resource Development in the Government of Bihar.
Early life
Singh served in the Cabinet of Bihar as Minister of Cooperatives from 2005 to 2010 and Minister of Animal Husbandry from 2010 to 2013. He has been a strong supporter of Narendra Modi since the beginning. He has publicly supported Modi for the prime minister for a long time. He was among the members of the BJP who were dismissed by Nitish Kumar following the break-up of the JDU-BJP alliance. Member of the Election Committee of the 16 members of the Bihar Bharatiya Janata Party.
Political career
Singh served the Cabinet of Bihar as co-operative minister from 2005-2010 & Animal Husbandry minister from 2010 to 2013. He has been a staunch supporter of Narendra Modi from the beginning. He publicly supported Modi for Prime Minister from long time. He was among the eleven BJP ministers who were dismissed by Nitish Kumar as a result of breaking of JDU-BJP alliance. He is a member of Bihar State Bharatiya Janata Party's 16-member state election committee.
