Pawan Kumar Bansal (born July 16, 1948) is a politician of the Indian National Congress and a former government minister Manmohan Singh. He represents the constituency of Chandigarh in the 15th Lok Sabha of India. He was Minister of Railways from October 28, 2012 to May 10, 2013.
Early life
Bansal was born on July 16, 1948 in Sunam. His family was from Tapa, Punjab. He also holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Law Department of Punjab University in Chandigarh.
Career
Bansal a. Chandigarh, as a member of Parliament on 10, 13, 14 and 15 Lok Sabha. He has worked as Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minister of Water Resources in the current Lok Sabha. The functions of Minister of Finance and Affairs in the office of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh are also considered.
Railway Minister
