Shri Dinesh Kashyap, born November 18, 1962 to Shri Baliram Kashyap, renowned tribal chief and deputy of Chhattisgarh & Smt State. Manki Kasyap, housewife from Bhanpuri, Bastar district, Jagdalpur district fully assigned to Naxal.
Personal Life
Shri Dinesh Kashyap grew up in a family and learned the art of politics since her father's childhood. His father, Shri Baliram Kashyap, was a member of the BJP party from 1998 to 2011. He was a supporter of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Shri L K Advani. Thus, inspired by his father, Shri Dinesh Kashyap, studied the MA in Political Science at Shri Shri Ravi Shankar University, Raipur. Brother son Shri Kedar Kashyap is a member of the Chattishgarh Legislative Assembly and Government Education Minister Raman Singh.
He married Smt. Vedwati Kashyap in January 1991 and 2 sons and a daughter.
Political Life
From his youth, he was a true youth leader in the Bastar region. He was elected general secretary from 1985 to 1990 for Yuva Morcha, Bastar. Later, he was elected a member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly under the tutelage of Sunderlal Patwa's Chief Ministry from 1990 to 1993. After that, he played an active role in the social-active life for the Chhattisgarh. Now he is National Secretary, BJP ST Moracha.
In 2011, he elected to the 15th Lok Sabha member of the by-election, during this phase he was appointed a member of the Standing Committee on Social Justice and Empowerment in May 2014, re-elected to the 16th Lokha Sabha. During this phase, he held positions as a member of the Standing Committee on Food, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution and the Advisory Committee of the Shri Narendra Modi Government's Ministry of Steel and Mines.
In News
He focused on tribal development campaigns and agricultural facilities for the ST people. His active leadership also has many developments in the cooperative society in the agricultural and horticultural sector, as well as in the rural health sector in Bastar district, Chhattisgarh.
Under his leadership, in February 2016, Baster (Jagdalpur) was connected to North and West India by rail network and connected to eastern and southern India.
